ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed to quash the order of the 2nd respondent dated 30.10.2015 bearing Na.Ka.No.2883/2014/A5(Valarchi) as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law and consequently direct the respondents to place the petitioner in appropriate place by taking into account of his date of joining in the post of Panchayat Assistant/Panchayat Secretary as 20.01.1994 which is the date recorded in the Service Register of the petitioner and promote him to the post of Junior Assistant from the date when his immediate junior was promoted.

2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner filed a memo dated 19.09.2024 stating that he sent a letter dated 30.08.2024 to the petitioner seeking his instructions to proceed with the matter. Despite receiving the said letter, the petitioner did not come forward to give instructions. Hence, he prayed that the writ petition may be closed with liberty to re-open the same.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and recording the memo dated 19.09.2024, this writ petition is Page No:2/4

disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to re-open the same, as and when the petitioner approaches the counsel.
