O R D E R

The Contempt Petition has been filed for non-compliance of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.18373 of 2021 dated 20.10.2021. 2.

Mr.M.Kaliyappan, Sub Inspector of Police, B7 Vellavedu Police Station is present before this Court.

The petitioner herein, earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.18373 of 2021 seeking a direction to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.609 of 2017, this Court by order dated 20.10.2021, directed the respondent police to file a final report or closure report within a period of one month. Thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, pre contempt notice was issued and thereafter, this Court order was not complied with, the above contempt petition has been filed. 2.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent produced charge sheet, wherein it is seen that the investigation in this case has been completed as early as on 02.11.2022 and six persons have been arrayed as accused viz., Sankar, Perumal, Parthibhan, Manoj, Selvi and 2/4

Ramachandran for offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 324, 506(ii), 307, 149 of IPC and under Section 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of SC ST Act, 1989. Now, the case has been taken on file as S.C.No.10 of 2023 by the Principal District and Sessions Judge / Special Court for SC ST Act, Tiruvallur. Summons have been issued to the accused persons to appear before the Special Court on 21.02.2023. Further submitted that the order of this Court was duly complied with.
