This writ petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus, forbearing the respondents from interfering in any manner in the activities of the petitioner-Academy and also from harassing the members, the guests or the members of the management of the petitioner-Academy in any manner.

2. Today, Mrs.Ruthra Sudha.S, Sub Inspector of Police, F2-Egmore Police Station, Chennai, is present before this Court.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is running a club in the name of Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Carrom Academy, at No.10, Montieth Road, Taas Mahal Building, Egmore, Chennai-600 008 and that the police are harassing the petitioner-Club and interfering with their activities.

4. On instructions, Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the police are not interfering with the activities of the Club, however, if any illegal activities take place, the right of the police to interfere should not be abridged.

Recording the same, this Court directs the respondent police not to harass the petitioner-Club as long as they follow the rules and regulations and that no illegal activities take place in the premises.
