ORDER

The petitioner is aggrieved against the non-consideration of his promotion on par with his junior. Pending the Writ Petition, the petitioner had expired.

2. Today when the matter was called, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent reported that on 03.11.2019, when the petitioner had died, all the Death cum Retirement Benefits (DCRG) have been disbursed to the legal heirs of the petitioner and they are also in receipt of the family pension. It is also stated that the claim for compassionate appointment is also under consideration. No application for substitution of the legal heirs has been filed.

3. By taking into account that the legal heirs have received the DCRG benefits and are also in receipt of the family pension, the Writ Petition stands closed as abated.
