O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the Trial Court, viz Judicial Magistrate-I, Chengalpattu to expedite the trial in C.C.No.7 of 2015 within a time frame stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

3. On the complaint given by the petitioner the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.13/2010 and after completing the investigation has filed a Final Report in C.C.No.7 of 2015 before the Judicial Magistrate-I, Chengalpattu against one Anwar. Now the petitioner has come up with this petition for a direction to complete the Trial expeditiously.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case is posted on 26.09.2016, for examination of LW-1. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Recording the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Trial Court and given evidence. The Trial Court shall ensure that the witnesses are cross examined on the day they are examined -in-chief as held by the Supreme Court in Vinoth Kumar -v- State of Punjab {2015(1) MLJ (Crl) 288}. In the event of the accused adopting any dilatory tactics, the trial Court shall remand him to custody as held by the Supreme Court in State of Uttar Pradesh -v- Shambu Nath Singh {JT 2001

5. The Trial Court is directed to expeditiously complete the trial, if there are no legal impediments.
