The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner to amend the prayer in the writ petition to incorporate "the relief of Certiorari calling for the records relating to rejection of the petition dated 04.06.2020 and to quash the same" instead of "Mandamus directing the respondent to grant legal heir certificate on my petition dated 19.02.2020 & 04.06.2020.

2. Heard Mr.G.Appavoo, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Shanmuga Sundar, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents has not raised any serious objection for allowing this petition without prejudice to the rights and contention of the respondents.

4. This Court is also satisfied with the reasons given by the petitioner in the affidavit. Accordingly, WMP.No.21488 of 2020 is allowed as prayed for.
