Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to forthwith issue revised/rectified survey numbers by incorporating S.Nos.100/2 and 100/3A, instead of 110/2 and 110/3A respectively, based on the 2nd respondent's proceedings made in Na.Ka.No.4164/A1/2016 dated 28.09.2017 and the order in R.I.Oo.Mu/1843/2017 dated nil.12.17, and to consequently mutate the revenue records, including patta therein.

The writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking correction of Patta numbers from 110/2 and 110/3A to 100/2 and 100/3A in the survey numbers based on the proceedings of the second respondent viz.,The District Registrar Administration, Vridachalam in Na.Ka.No.4164/A1/2016 dated 28.09.2017 and a consequential order in R.I.Oo.Mu/1843/2017 in December 2017 and more importantly to mutate the revenue records including Patta by incorporating the correction S.Nos.100/2 and 100/3A. 2.The petitioner claims that the property covered in Survey No.100/2 and 100/3A devolved on to him through a will executed by his father. He claims to be in possession for about fifteen years. The lands measure about 0.65.0 and 0.89.5 cents and they are in Survey Nos.100/2 and 100/3A.

3.Let me not delve deeply into the allegations leveled against the officials. From the report of the second respondent it is clear that the correct Survey Nos. are 100/2 and 100/3A and therefore, a direction is issued to the respondents to correct the S.Nos. from 110/2 and 110/3A to S.Nos.100/2 and 100/3A and also mutate the revenue records, including patta with respect to the petitioner's lands. Such correction/mutation is to be carried out within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No further order is required in this writ petition.

4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
