ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.B.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has filed a statutory appeal before the first respondent against the order of dismissal passed by the second respondent, which is statutory in nature, but the respondent no.1 has not taken up the same. Hence, the prayer is made to issue a mandamus to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law within a stipulated period.

3.Considering such limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose is going to be served by seeking response of the second respondent to file a counter affidavit.

4.The learned counsel for the respondents submits that if the appeal is pending, the same is disposed of by the first respondent in accordance with law within stipulated time, as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed by this Court.

5.Hence, regard been added to the aforesaid facts and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of such appeal of the petitioner, which is yet to be disposed of, in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court expresses no opinion on the merit of the appeal. No costs.
