No. 577/1 and 1-A at No.9, Nedungundram Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, previously Kancheepuram District, presently Chengalpattu District, and consequently direct the Respondent no.3 to erect the Mono Pole Electric Towers in initial allotted route of Nedungundrum, Nedungundrum Lake, Puthur, Mappedu, Mappedu Lake, Thirumalai Nagar, Pudhuvancheri, Madambakkam, Agram, Sathya Nagar already earmarked.

ORDER

By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks consideration of representation dated 26.05.2025 seeking to restrain the third respondent from erecting the mono pole tower for erecting high tension electric wires at the address specified in the petition. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that inspite of the petitioner submitting a representation, the TANTRANSCO is proceeding with work.

Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.D.R.Arun Kumar, learned standing counsel, accepts notice for the third respondent.

The question as to whether mono pole tower should be erected or not is a question for consideration by competent technical authorities. Nonetheless, the petitioner has submitted a representation in this regard specifying reasons for not proceeding with such work. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of representation dated 26.05.2025 within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. 5.
