Respondents This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Mrs.Ramya V.Rao, learned counsel for the appellant and the learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT In this appeal, already the award amount of Rs.2,45,000/- with interest at the rate of 8% has been deposited by the insurance Company.

2. Over and above the said amount already deposited, the parties have agreed to settle the matter for another sum of Rs.3,50,000/- as full quit. The said sum shall be deposited within a period of eight weeks from today.

The Claimant/respondent will be entitled to withdraw the entire sum on proper identification and verification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.

3. In view of the same, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands disposed off.

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement. The full court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 2 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
