The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 02.06.2016 submitted for extending Scholarship benefit for Backward and Most Backward students like her studying in Arts and Science Degree Course in SelfFinancing Colleges in Tamil Nadu. 2.

According to the petitioner, she belongs to Most

Backward Community and hails from a poor family. She is studying B.Sc. Physics in Kailash Women's College, Tharamangalam, which is a self-financing Private College and that the nearest Government College is situated in Edappadi, which is more than 20 kms away from her residence. It is her case that unless the Government supports students like her with financial assistance by way of scholarship, she has no other option, but to discontinue her Degree course. In this regard, the petitioner sent a detailed representation dated 02.06.2016 to the respondents through Speed Post. Since no reply is forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the material documents available on record.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents produced a copy of the Letter dated 06.07.2016 written by the Director of Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Welfare to the Government Advocate, wherein, it is stated that the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2016 has been duly considered and ordered.

In such view of the matter, nothing further survives for consideration in this matter. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the proceedings dated 06.07.2016, she is at liberty to challenge the same. No costs.
