ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.] This writ petition seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to hear and dispose of the appeal dated 07.04.2016 filed by the petitioner against the order of the second respondent dated 17.03.2016.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the Judicial Ministerial Service as Copyist in the year 1996 at the District Court, Villupuram. After five years, he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

was promoted as Junior Assistant and was posted at the District Munsif Court at Tindivanam. Again, he was posted as Sherisdatar Assistant at Sub Court, Tindivanam and presently he is working as Bench Clerk, Grade-III at Principal District Munsif Court, Ulundurpet, Villupuram District. During the course of annual inspection in the year 2007, some discrepancies were noted and the department proceeded with departmental enquiry and found the petitioner guilty and imposed punishment as per the Rules, against which, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent and the same is pending from the year 2016. The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal expeditiously.

3. As petitioner's appeal is pending from the year 2016, we deem it fit to direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal expeditiously, at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
