..Respondent Prayer : Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for a direction to the learned Subordinate Court, Alandur, to number the unnumbered Interim Custody Petition filed by the petitioner in SR.No. 2588 of 2026, the Urgency Petition in SR.No. 2586 of 2026 and the Advance Hearing Petition in SR.No. 2587 of 2026 in HMOP.No.744 of 2023 and dispose of the same within a period of 1 month or any reasonable time as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and I have gone through the records.

2. The petitioner/husband and the respondent/wife entered into matrimony on 01.05.2015. From the wedlock, a son was born to them on 13.08.2018. Due to disputes and differences, the parties have separated. The husband has presented HMOP.No.744 of 2023 on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge at Alandur. He has invoked Section 13(1)(i)(a) of the Hindu Marriage Act.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent is not taking care of the child and hence, he requires urgent orders of interim custody of the child. He has also moved HMGOP No.120 of 2026 on the file of the Principal District Court at Chengalpattu. The HMGOP is listed for hearing on 01.06.2026. The grievance expressed today is that the application filed by the petitioner in SR.No.2588 of 2026 on the file of the Subordinate Court at Alandur for interim custody is not taken up for hearing and is kept pending. He has alleged that, in case the application is not disposed of, the child will loose one academic year.

4. As the scope of the revision is very limited, there shall be a direction to the learned Subordinate Judge, Alandur to number SR.No.2588 of 2026 and dispose of the same, after receipt of a counter from the respondent/wife, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the civil revision petition stands disposed of. No costs.
