The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.04.2025 in connection with Crime No.8(c), 20(b)(ii)(C), 29(1) of NDPS Act on the file of the respondent police seeks bail. 1/4
2. In continuation to the order passed by this Court on 26.06.2025, the learned Special Public Prosecutor submitted that, petitioner was signing before Judicial Magistrate No.3, Tiruppur and on that day, he was not along with A1. It is his further submission that, petitioner is the one who financed A1 to procure the contraband. He further submitted that, petitioner is an history sheeter and there are 12 previous cases pending against the petitioner. He further submitted that, though petitioner claims that, he is doing menial jobs, from his account, Rs.25 lakhs has been transacted. Hence, he strongly opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
3.Considering the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioner is a commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 11.07.2025 sma 2/4
