ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to forbear the respondents from demanding and collecting a sum of Rs.3,80,055/10 under the heading "other charges", for the petitioner's Service Connection No.09404002850 for the month of April, 2014.

2. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had paid 50% of the penalty amount as fixed by the Respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents/Board has not disputed the payment of 50% of the penalty charges made by the Petitioner towards impugned demand. He further submitted that there is appeal provision under the Regulations; the Petitioner can file appeal before the Appellate Authority to redress his grievance, if any.

4. In view of the above submission, it is open to the Petitioner to seek his remedy before the Appellate Authority under the provisions of law. The Petitioner is permitted to approach the Appellate Authority as per law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is dismissed with the above observation. No costs. Consequently, connected MP is closed.
