ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.04.2025 at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 69 and 75 of BNSS Act, 2023 and Section 66E and 67 A of IT Act, 2000 and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, in Crime No.8 of 2025, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that there are totally two accused in this case. The petitioner on the pretext of getting job to the victim girl she was taken K.S.Nanas Lodge, where she was raped by the petitioner. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner on the pretext of getting job to the victim girl she was taken K.S.Nanas Lodge, where she was raped by the petitioner. That apart, the petitioner videographed the same and forwarded to the second accused. Thereafter, the petitioner and the second accused threatened the victim as if it is to be forwarded in the social media. 5.In view of the above submission, it is clear that the petitioner had committed very serious and heinous offence as against the victim girl. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 23-06-2025
