This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to regularise the services of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Surgeon from the date of her first appointment namely 05.06.1989, to sanction the annual increments due to the petitioner from the year 1990 till date and to consider the name of the petitioner for promotion as Senior Assistant Surgeon and Chief Civil Surgeon on par with her juniors and consequently the petitioner's pay may be refixed in the respective cadres within a reasonable period as may be fixed by this Court considering the fact that the individual is due to retire on 31.08.2014 and the matter is pending with the first and second respondents for a longer period.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. 3.

Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition for adjudication. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
