O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for willful disobedience and suppression of the Hon'ble High Court's order in Crl.O.P.No.1141 of 2020, dated 24.09.2020.

While quashing the domestic violence complaint lodged by the wife of the respondent herein by an order dated 24.09.2020 in Crl.O.P.No.1141 of 2020, directed the petitioner to maintain his daughter, who is doing her final year graduation till her marriage. Thereafter, the petitioner was paying a sum of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only) per month to his daughter through her account directly.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that Rs.2500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only) is very meagre amount and the respondent is drawing more than 45,000/- (Rupees Forty Five Thousand only) as monthly pension. The respondent also included his wife and 1 son to maintain them. Monthly expenditure of the daughter is coming around more than Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) per month including her transportation, food, shelter etc...

The learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the respondent is ready to pay whatever the expenditures occurred by his daughter for 2/3

her maintenance.

Considering the above submissions, the respondent is directed to pay Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) as monthly maintenance to his daughter by way of transfer directly to her account. It is also made clear that the respondent shall pay the college fees for every semester of his daughter as claimed by his daughter.

In view of the above directions, this contempt petition is closed. Consequently, connected Sub application is closed.
