ORDER

The petitioners have filed this Criminal Original Petition to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.1491 of 2011 pending on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in Crime No.1491 of 2011, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed against the petitioners and the same was taken on file as Spl.SC No.13 of 2013. Subsequently, after trial, the petitioners were also acquitted from the charges by judgment dated 03.02.2016 passed by the learned Principal District Judge, Coimbatore.

3. Since the charge sheet has already been filed in Crime No.1491/2011 and the case ended in acquittal, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, recording the submission so made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
