ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 4(3) of TN Gaming Act 1930 & Section 420 of IPC, in Crime No.1642 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was running a shop and sold the 3 digit numbers of cotton ticket and cheated the General Public. Hence, the complaint was registered. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner was running a shop and sold the 3 digit numbers of cotton ticket and cheated the General Public. He would further submit that entire contraband was seized by the respondent police. He would further submit that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are seven previous cases pending as against the petitioner .Hence he vehemently opposed to grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and that the petitioner has involved in very serious offence and there are seven previous cases pending as against the petitioner and the petitioner is a habitual offender, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
