ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 296 (b), 127 (3), 115 (2), 140 (3), 309 (4), 351 (2) of BNS Act, in Crime No.296 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, along with other accused, intercepted the defacto-complainant and demanded a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-. It is further alleged that when the defacto-complainant refused to

pay the said amount, the accused persons snatched 10 sovereigns of gold jewels and also took away cash of Rs.35,000/-. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court and hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the petitioner has one previous case and also submit that this is the fourth anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner and there is no change in circumstances.

5. Considering the serious allegations against this petitioner and also considering that there is no change in circumstances from the earlier application, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 01-06-2026 ep
