O R D E R

Considering the nature of the relief sought herein, this court is inclined to take up this writ petition for final disposal, at the time of admission itself.

2.According to the petitioner, her daughter by name R.Mohanapriya, is studying B.A., LLB (Hons.) in Bharat Institute of Law, Bharat University, Chennai and she is the first graduate in her family. Owing to difficulty in remitting tuition fee, on 17.02.2021, the petitioner applied for educational loan along with the required documents, to the respondent bank. However, the said application was not processed. Hence, she made a representation dated 18.08.2021 to the respondent bank requesting to sanction educational loan to her daughter. Finding no response on the same, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking appropriate direction to the respondent bank to consider the application submitted by her and sanction education loan to her daughter for pursuing BA., LLB (Hons) in Bharat University, Chennai.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, who submitted that though the petitioner submitted all the required documents along with the application seeking education loan to her daughter, the respondent bank did not process the same, without any reason and hence, appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent bank to consider the petitioner's representation in this regard.

4.Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, more particularly that the petitioner submitted the application to the respondent bank for educational loan to her daughter for pursuing law course, and considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this court directs the respondent bank to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2021 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
