The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.06.2022 for the offences punishable under Section 366 of IPC r/w Sections 5(l), 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Section 9 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act in Crime No.20 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had kidnapped the victim girl, married her and had committed penetrative sexual assault. Hence, the complaint.

3. Though it is a love affair between the petitioner and the victim, the victim is aged about only 16 years. On the pretext of marriage, the petitioner had committed penetrative sexual assault on the victim girl.
