Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus, to call for the records of the first respondent relating to G.O.Ms.No.21, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MC.3) Department, dated 23.02.2006, quash the same to the limited extent of regularization of the services of the petitioner from the date of the said Government Order and to issue

consequential directions to the respondents to regularise the services of the petitioner from the date of his initial appointment on daily wages basis with all consequential service and monetary benefits.

ORDER

On earlier occasion, when the matter was listed before this Court on 26.06.2025, it was brought to the notice of this court that the sole petitioner was no more. In view of the same, the matter was adjourned to enable the learned counsel for the petitioner to take steps to bring on record the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, in spite of his best efforts, he is not in a position to reach out to the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner, and he expressed his inability to pursue the matter.

3. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is closed, as abated,

with liberty to the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner to file an appropriate application for reopening of this Writ Petition, in case they intend to pursue the matter, if any. No costs.
