ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to provide police protection to the 2nd respondent officials to discharge their official duty of repairing the Drinking Water pipeline situated in the petitioner's property at No.12/94 Kattabomman Street, Kanagam, Chennai - 600 113 by considering her representation dated 29.06.2016.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the Water connection to his house got damaged and when the petitioner brought some worker from the Metro Water Board, they were prevented by his brother Raji and one Pandian and his wife Devi from repairing the line. In this connection, the petitioner has given a complaint dated 29.06.2016 and has not attached any proof of such complaint given to the third respondent police.

3. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to go in person before the third respondent police along with this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 29.06.2016 and seek police protection. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into by calling the opposite party and action be taken thereon in accordance with law. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
