ORDER
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.01.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii) (C) of NDPS Act, 1985, in Crime No.18 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused was found in illegal possession of 21.200 kg of Ganja. Hence the case.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been in custody since 24.01.2026. He further submitted that he is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court and ready to co-operate for investigation. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and strongly opposed the bail application.
5. Considering the fact that a commercial quantity is involved and there is no change in circumstances since the previous application, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 08-06-2026 ep
