ORDER

The writ petition is filed for a direction to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.04.2024. In the said representation, the petitioner has prayed for providing compassionate appointment.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's mother Logambal who was working as an Assistant in Anganvadi Centre (ICDS) in the Social Welfare Department at Pudupakkam Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpet District died in harness while in service on 30.07.2001. An application was made immediately and thereafter when the petitioner attained majority and acquired the educational qualification subsequent representations were made including the application dated 24.07.2017. The respondents have not considered the same till date and therefore the petitioner is before this Court. Page No. 2 of 5

3. It can be seen that the petitioner is now 34 years and as such she was only 11 years old when her mother died. This question is no longer resintegra and has been authoritatively answered by the Full Bench of this Court in W.P. (MD).No.7016 of 2011 etc., dated 11.03.2020 in which it has been held against the petitioner that unless the candidate attains majority within a period of three years from the date of death of the employee subsequent applications cannot be entertained.

4. In view thereof, this Court is unable to come to the rescue of the petitioner and as such this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 26.06.2024 dpq Page No. 3 of 5
