O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2. The Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police is continuously harassing the petitioner and their tenants, without registering any case. He further submitted that already civil suits are pending between the parties and under the said circumstances, the police has no right to interfere in the dispute between the parties.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that no complaint has been received against the petitioners and the respondent police have not harassed the petitioners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. If the respondent receives any complaint and the said complaint discloses any cognizable offence, they have to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law. Without adopting the said procedure, the respondent should not unnecessarily harass the petitioners.
