The defendant was a tenant under the plaintiff at the premises in 3rd floor in Door No.19, Rutland Gate, 4th Cross Street, Chennai 600 034. The plaintiff had initiated proceedings for fixation of fair rent. Thereafter, further appellate proceedings had also been initiated. 2.

It is stated that the defendant is due and payable a sum of Rs.1,15,23,008/- towards arrears of rent. It is under those circumstances, claiming that arrears, the suit had been instituted. 3.

The defendant also carries on business outside the jurisdiction of this Court, but since the place where the tenancy was, and is within the jurisdiction of this Court and since part of cause of action arose within the jurisdiction of this Court, leave is sought and leave is granted. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
