Heard Mr.P.Valliappan, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available one record.

The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take action on his representation dated 15.07.2014 to provide the electricity service connection to his well dug in S.No.287/5A, Siruvangur Village, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram District based on the application dated 24.08.1985 bearing No.630.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would state that the petitioner has settled the property in the name of his wife and on the application under Tatkal Scheme, service connection has been provided to the well situated in S.No.287/5A, Siruvangur Village, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram District.

4. In the light of the above submission, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition and the prayer sought for in the Writ Petiton has become infructuous. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
