Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue suitable directions to respondents 2 to 4 to implement the G.O.Ms.No.301 dated 18.11.2013 of second respondent within time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.Adinarayana Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. The petition is filed for the implementation of G.O.Ms.No.301 dated 18.11.2013.

3. It is submitted by learned Special Government Pleader that the said G.O. is implemented. Orders have been issued for the merger of the existing Fish Farmer Development Agencies and Brackishwater

Fish Farmers Development Agencies and thereby formed District Fish Farmers Development Agencies under the Chairmanship of the respective Collectors along with the guidelines for its functions. The District Collectors/Chairmen of District Fish Farmers Development Agencies have been asked to convene monthly review meeting with the Chief Executive Officer/Assistant Director of Fisheries concerned of the District and by reviving all the activities of District Fish Farmers Development Agencies so as to utilise the fishery resources fully, augment fish production and enhance the socio economic status of the Fish Farmers.

4. In the light of that, the purpose of the writ petition stands served. As such, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.21367 of 2018 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (P.D.A., J.) 10.08.2023 Index :
