ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner is in whatsapp group. In the said whatsapp group, one of the members had sent some message, which according to the petitioner, attracts the offence under Section 66-A of I.T. Act and Section 3(1) (u) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act. The respondent police have initially assigned C.S.R. Number and later registered F.I.R. Despite registration of F.I.R., the respondent police not arrested the accused and no action taken against offender. He would further submit that one Sudhakar in his facebook sent certain messages and committed offence.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that after preliminary enquiry, F.I.R. was registered. It appears to be messages in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the whatsapp group and facebook, exchanged in the social media, thereafter, F.I.R. was registered. Now, serious efforts taken to secure the offenders. Since it involves collection of information and data from the Cyber Crime, it takes some time 3.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents.

4. On the explanation given by the respondent police and also finding that F.I.R. registered on 07.04.2021, this court finds that they are taking all steps. In view of the same, no specific order is required. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
