ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for non compliance of the order dated 19.07.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.19521 of 2024, thereby directed the respondents to pay the interest on the belated payment of the terminal benefits to the petitioners at the rate of 6% per annum, commencing from the date of the retirement, till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of eight weeks. 2.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that as directed by this Court, the respondents considered the case of the petitioner and disbursed a sum of Rs.12,131/- towards 6% interest amount for belated payment of difference of gratuity and a sum of Rs.19,531/- towards 6% interest amount for EL surrender. She also filed a compliance memo along with the copies of the receipt for the above payments.
