This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners/A1 to A4 & A6, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 04.06.2024, seeking bail in Crime No.202 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b) & 302 of IPC.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that since the deceased/victim misbehaved with the mother of the first accused, the petitioners had questioned him, during which, there was a quarrel between them and on the sudden provocation the petitioners have assaulted him and there is no intention for them to cause death of the victim. He further submitted that the petitioners are in custody from 04.06.2024 and they are ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioners.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police objected for granting bail stating that due to the previous dispute, the accused unlawfully assembled and committed murder of the victim/deceased. He further submitted that there are six accused in this case and the petitioners herein are arrayed as A1 to A4 & A6 respectively and the investigation is still pending. T.V.THAMILSELVI,J.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking note of the fact that the investigation is at initial stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
