Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to publish the withheld result of the petitioner's register number 12420701 as selected for appointment by direct recruitment to the post of Village Administrative Officer in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, 2010 based on the results of the written examination held on 20.02.2011 and thereby appoint the petitioner for the post of the Village Administrative Officer in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, 2010.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondent to publish the result of the written examination held on 20.02.2011 and to appoint him for the post of Village Administrative Officer.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and hence nothing survives for adjudication.

3.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
