The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's mother's representation dated 26.04.2023 and his representation dated 04.03.2025 and thereby direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner in any of the posts in the respondent Department according to his educational qualification under compassionate appointment.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that while the petitioner's father, working as a Sanitary Worker in the second respondent Corporation, died on 09.03.2023. He would further submit that immediately after his death, the petitioner's mother's representation dated 26.04.2023 and his representation dated 04.03.2025, seeking compassionate appointment to the petitioner, are yet to be considered by the second respondent.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent would fairly admit the receipt of the representations and assure before this Court that the same would be considered at the earliest. 2/5

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above fact, without going to the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's mother's representation dated 26.04.2023 and his representation dated 04.03.2025 for compassionate appointment on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
