PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the Learned Metropolitan Magistrate for Land Grabbing Cases Special Court II, Periyamedu, Central - 3, to take the charge sheet filed by respondent Inspector of Police, Land Grabbing Prevention Special Central, Central Crime Branch-Team 18, Veperi, Chennai - 600 087 in Crime No.2 of 2016 on file and proceed further in accordance with law. ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction to the Learned Metropolitan Magistrate for Land Grabbing Cases Special Court II, Periyamedu, Central - 3, to take cognizance of the final report filed by the respondent police.

2.In view of the pendency of the case before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the Special Court will not be in a position to take cognizance of the final report.

3.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to get the final report returned from the Land Grabbing cases Court-II, and present the final report before the Special Court for CCB and CBCID, Egmore. This process shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of a copy of this order. Immediately on receipt of the final report, the Special Court for CCB & CBCID, Egmore shall proceed further to take cognizance of the final report in accordance with law.

4.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
