The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondents to disburse the death-cum-terminal benefits of the deceased, viz., A.Rashya and consider the petitioner for compassionate appointment in the respondents/Department based on the representation dated 15.04.2024 made by the petitioner.

2. The petitioner's wife was working as Line Inspector at SubStation, Kallavai, she was hit on the head in an accident on 25.11.2021 and she went in coma. Thereafter, she died on 16.11.2022, leaving behind the petitioner and three children as her legal heirs. Though the petitioner had made representation dated 15.04.2024 along with all necessary documents for disbursal of the death-cum-terminal benefits of the deceased wife of the petitioner to the respondent in that regard, it had not evoked any response, necessitating the filing of this Writ Petition.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, this Court directs the first respondent shall disburse the death-cum-terminal benefits of the deceased wife of the petitioner, viz., A.Rashya to the legal heirs and also directed to consider the petitioner for compassionate appointment, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
