ORDER

This Writ Petition Criminal has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to give suitable protection for the deity procession scheduled to be held on 17.05.2026 in the temple of Arulmigu Aiyannar Temple, Avatti Village, Thittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District as per the proceedings vide Na.Ka.A3/15/2026 dated 07.05.2026 passed by the 3rd respondent.

2. This Writ Petition Criminal is disposed of at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law and they have no objection in providing police protection subject to the petitioner furnishing an undertaking for maintaining law and order.

4. Recording the same, the writ petition criminal stands disposed of. No costs.
