O R D E R

The Writ Petition was originally filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction and settle the gratuity amount of Rs.1,48,995/- with interest at the rate of 10%, as per the order of the Joint Commissioner of Labour (Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972) with effect from 01.09.2016.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the first respondent produced a cheque drawn in the Indian Overseas Bank in the name of the petitioner vide Cheque No.327672 dated 20.08.2024 for a sum of Rs.1,32,949/- and another cheque drawn in the Indian Overseas Bank in the name of the petitioner vide Cheque No.327680 dated 22.08.2024 for a sum of Rs.1,11,998/-.

Since the first respondent has now complied with the impugned order of the Joint Commissioner of Labour (Authority under Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972) made in P.G.No.79/2017 to P.G.No.92/2017 dated 19.11.2018, recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
