This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in crime No. 29 of 2024 on the file of Inspector of Police, NIB-CID Salem District.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the respondent police seized 68 kgs of Ganja from the accused persons. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely implicated in this case and also his wife is admitted in hospital for delivery and no relative is available to take care of his wife. Hence, he prays to allow this petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the contraband seized from the accused person is commercial quantity. However, he raised objection to grant bail.
5. Considering the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioner is commercial quantity. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. 11.07.2024 pbl
