JUDGMENT

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.R.A.Shinusha, learned counsel for the appellant, Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1, 2 and 6, Mr.A.Arun Babu, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the learned Single Judge has decided the matter only on the basis of the status report. Learned counsel submits that the appellant is ready to exchange his patta land and the Tahsildar and the District Revenue Officer have given a report supporting the stand of the appellant.

3. The order passed by learned Single Judge cannot be faulted with.

4. As far as the subsequent development of exchange of patta lands is concerned, the authorities are seized of the matter. The authorities may take a decision in respect of the same on its own merit.

5. The writ appeal as such is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, CMP No.23810 of 2023 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.)
