The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner based on the representation dated 29.03.2025 submitted by him.
2. By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of petitioner is that the petitioner purchased the land comprised in T.S.No.134/1 measuring to an extent of 0.79 cents situated at Pudukoraipettai Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District from one Srinivasan by way of registered sale deed vide Document No.2410 of 2005 From the date of purchase onwards, the petitioner is in continuous possession and enjoyment of the subject property. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date the patta has not been issued in his name. Hence,
petitioner submitted a representation on 29.03.2025 seeking to issue patta in favour of him. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

At the outset, it was submitted by learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that the representation dated 29.03.2025 made by petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the concerned respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 29.03.2025 seeking issuance of patta in respect of T.S.No.134/1 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity
of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties, if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any view with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 12.06.2025 NCC: Yes / No Index : Yes / No Speaking Order : Yes / No vji
