O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order, dated 06.11.2020, appointing the 2nd respondent as Principal (Full Addl. Charge) in Government College of Education, Orathanad Village & Post, Thanjavur District, and for a direction to the 1st respondent to appoint the petitioner as Principal (Full Addl. Charge). According to the petitioner, he is the senior-most teacher in the College and therefore, he ought to have been considered for appointment, whereas, the 2nd respondent has been appointed as Principal (Full Addl. Charge).

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, now, a regular Principal has been appointed in the said College and therefore, this writ petition challenging the appointment of 2nd respondent as Full Additional Charge, has become infructuous.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 4.At this juncture, it is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, in this case, the counter affidavit has been filed making with false allegations. It is open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if so advised.
