Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.12.2018 for issuance of Joint Patta in the names of the petitioner and the third and fourth respondents respectively in respect of land measuring an area of 6,354 Sq.Ft comprised in Survey Nos.1401 and 1401/14 with plot Nos.547, 548 and 549 situated in Thaiyur Village, Thiruporur, Chengalpet District.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein has requested the Tahsildar, Thiruporur to issue patta jointly in her name and her two sisters in respect of the property in Survey Nos.1401, 1401/14 at Thaiyur Village, Thiruporur, on the strength of being legal heirs of K.R.Chinnaswamy.

2. In spite of furnishing all the relevant documents, the representation for issuing joint patta was not considered by the respondent and hence, the present writ petition is filed.

3. After notice, the learned Additional Government Pleader got instructions from the Tahsildar, Thiruporur and submitted to this Court that the enquiry regarding the request of the petitioner to issue joint patta is under process. The petitioner was summoned to appear before the Tahsildar with records on 27.09.2019. Since the petitioner did not turn up with relevant documents, the enquiry is adjourned for future date.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was in the Court on that day. Therefore, not able to present on that day for enquiry. If any date fixed by the Tahsildar, the petitioner is ready to appear before the Tahsildar.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader after getting instructions from Tahsildar would submit that the petitioner can appear before the Tahsildar on any working day along with relevant documents and after perusing the records suitable order will be passed within 15 days from the date of completion of the enquiry.

6. Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed with a direction that the petitioner shall appear before the Tahsildar on 10.10.2019 with all relevant documents. The Tahsildar shall complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, based on the records on or before 31.10.2019. No costs.
