Crl.O.P.No.14570 of 2023 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.04.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 394 of IPC subsequently altered into Sections 394 and 397 of IPC in Crime No.220 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an accused in Crime No. 220 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 394 & 397 of IPC. Petitioner is in Judicial Custody from 13.04.2023. Thus, he prayed for bail to the petitioner.

3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) opposes the petition on the ground that, petitioner/A1 along with other accused had abducted the defacto complainant's brother and beaten him with deadly weapon and caused serious injuries on his head and had also taken his cell phone. He further submitted that, apart from this case, there are 6 previous cases pending against the petitioner. 1/3

4. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also the fact that, petitioner has six previous cases pending against him, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 03.07.2023 Sma 2/3
