Seeking directions to the 2 nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's complaint submitted to the respondent on 06.01.2025, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.
2. Mr.R.Murthi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
3. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner is aged about 71-years and he is suffering from several health issues viz., blood pressure, diabetes, and eye sight issues. He settled his property to his sons (3 rd and 4 th respondents), trusting that they would take care of him in his old age. He also gave them a sum of Rs. 15,00,000 from his bank savings, believing they would return the money for his medical expenses, but they did not do so. Since the petitioner's sons did Page No.2 of 5
not take care of the petitioner's daily needs and his medical treatment, he filed a complaint on 06.01.2025, to the District Collector/ 1 st respondent, which was forwarded to the 2nd respondent, under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act. Although a hearing was held on 19.05.2025, the matter is kept pending without any decision. Therefore, the petitioner filed the above Writ Petition seeking directions to the 2 nd respondent, to take action on the complaint submitted by him on 06.01.2025, within a time framed fixed by this Court..
5. During the course of arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if, this Court issued directions to the nd respondent, to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 06.01.2025, and pass orders within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the above facts and considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, I direct the 2 nd respondent, to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 06.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance Page No.3 of 5
with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
