J U D G M E N T
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The appellants sought for a Mandamus to consider them for the post of Livestock Inspector - Grade II, since they have completed the certificate course on Veterinary Nursing Assistant.
2. Heavy reliance is place by the learned counsel for the appellants on the statement made in the counter affidavit that the Government is considering to appoint persons who have completed such certificate course as Livestock Inspector - Grade II. The writ Court has dismissed the Writ Petition as premature since no notification has been issued by the Government calling for applications for appointment as Livestock Inspector - Grade II.
3. Merely because the appellants have earned the qualification they cannot claim a vested right to be appointed. It is for the employer / Government to conduct selection process and appoint these persons. The writ Court rightly observed that the appellants can apply as and when the Government issues notification inviting application for appointment to the post of Livestock Inspector - Grade II.

4. We do not see any reason to interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge as we find that the learned Single Judge was perfectly justified in rejecting the prayer for Mandamus on the ground it is pre-mature. Hence, this Writ Appeal is dismissed. No costs.
