Crl.O.P.No.14744 of 2023 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., The petitioner namely Anand @ Boxer Anand, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.04.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.179 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in a case registered for the offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act. Petitioner is in Judicial Custody from 26.04.2023. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.
3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) vehemently opposes the petition on the ground that, apart from this case, there are four previous cases pending against the petitioner. 1/3
4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that, apart from this case, there are four previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 04.07.2023 Sma 2/3
