..Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.10.2015 and regularize the petitioner service as " Melam Kuzhu-Thavil" in the 2nd respondent temple with all service and monetary benefits.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he underwent a Diploma course in " Thavil playing " in Bharathidasan University at Trichy. He was employed by the second respondent as Thavil Vithvan on daily wage basis from June 2000 and from 29.06.2011. He was paid consolidated pay.

3. The petitioner would further state that the Government of Tamil Nadu had announced a scheme to regularize the temple workers and accordingly the first respondent issued a circular to identify the temple staffs employed on daily wage basis and consolidated pay for the purpose of regularization of service. petitioner, he was not regularized as on date and therefore, he sent a representation dated 05.10.2015 to the first respondent for regularizing the service of " Melam Kuzhu - Thavil" in the second respondent temple. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.S.V.Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.V.Dhanapalan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. This Court, considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
